Keep it short and sweet – something that your readers will remember, stay away from the cutesy names at first, and make sure people can tell what your blog is about just by reading the name, you can change it later once you’ve gained traction.

For example, if your chosen niche is a travel blog for moms flying with toddlers rather than “diapers and wings” choose “flying with rugrats”. This option is a bit more clear on what the subject of the blog is, which allows your blog to grow faster.

Next, you’ll need to set up your website. If you’re not sure how to do this, don’t worry I have an entire training inside the Mastermind that will walk you thru every step of the process. Once your site is up and running, it’s time to start writing content.

Again, don’t overthink it – just write about what you know and what you’re passionate about. It’s not going to be perfect, and yes you will need a content plan, but the first few posts will just be to get your feet wet!

Starting a blog can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. With the right tools and strategies, you can easily get started blogging as a busy mom in 2023. Here are some tips to help you get started:

1. Choose a blogging platform. There are many blogging platforms available, such as Bluehost (recommended), WordPress, Blogger, and Tumblr. Choose one that’s easy for you to use, fits your needs and your budget.

2. Decide on a topic. You don’t have to limit yourself to one topic, but it’s a good idea to focus on a few related topics under a central umbrella topic that you’re passionate about. This will help you stay focused and create content that’s interesting and engaging.

For example, Instead of travel, budgeting and cooking topics, instead do Travel as your main topic with a section about travel budgets, and great travel foods or great spots to eat while traveling to Florida.

3. Create content. Once you’ve chosen a platform and a topic, it’s time to start creating content. You can write about anything from parenting tips to recipes to reviews. Just make sure that your content is helpful, focused on solving a problem that your ideal person has and aligns with your chosen topic.

4. Promote your blog. Once you’ve created content, it’s time to promote your blog. You can do this by using social media, guest blogging, and other lots of other strategies.

5. Make money. Now that your site is live, there’s helpful info on there. Next you need to choose what your earning strategy will be, don’t worry you can (and probably will) change it later, most of us utilize a variety of income streams, allowing us to diversify and not rely on one source of income. There are many ways to do this, such as affiliate marketing, sponsored posts, and selling products, services, or even ads (but I don’t recommend relying just on ads).

With so many competing demands on their time, it can be difficult to capture their attention and keep them engaged. However, with the right method, you can create content that will draw in your people, repel those you don’t want, and keep your ideal customer coming back for more.

Here are some tips for creating engaging content:

1. Focus on Quality: Quality content is essential. When creating content, make sure it is well-researched, accurate, and provides value. Quality content will help build trust with your audience and keep them coming back for more. Basically just make sure what you create is honest, trustworthy, proven, and focused on helping your ideal person with their problems, offering solutions to those problems and making their lives easier by offering those easy answers.

2. Keep it Short and Sweet: Most people don’t have time to read long-winded articles. Keep your content short and to the point. Use bullet points, lists, and other visuals to break up the text and make it easier to read. Unless your doing a pillar content piece like this one that is super indepth.

3. Offer Solutions: Everyone is looking for solutions to their problems. Offer helpful advice and tips that can help them save time and make their lives easier.

4. Be Relevant: People need content that is up to date, and aligns with your topic.

For example if I have a vegan blog, it wouldn’t be relevant to write content about the best beef recipes. An example of a content not being timely: writing a post about 4th of july recipes thats sent out on september 6th, that doesn’t do them much good right? They will surely scroll past and you won’t get that click you’re looking for.

5. Connect with Your Audience: People are looking for content that speaks to them. Connect with your audience by using language that resonates with them and addressing their needs and concerns. Talking to people like people is key to reaching your people and standin out from the crowd, if I’m talking about the mess my 3 year old left smearing peanut butter all over my computer screen while I was in the bathroom, while funny, if my audience doesn’t have kids, the humor is probably lost on them, its hard to get that to resonate, but I bet it is resonating with you. Your goal is to get your people to be nodding along with you like “yep, been there” or “how did she know?!” this is what your aiming for in your content.

6. Make it Fun: People need a break from their daily routines. Create content that is fun and entertaining. This will help keep them engaged and coming back for more. This doesn’t need to be all the time but using stories from your life will jazz up even the boring-est content piece. Plus fun things like quizzes, games, crosswords, giveaways and more are all ways to make what you do more fun for both you and your audience.

By following these tips, you can create content that will engage your audience and keep them coming back for more. Quality content, timely topics, and a personal connection are all essential for creating content that will draw in your ideal customer and keep them engaged.

First, you need to create a social media presence for your blog. This means setting up accounts on the major social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Make sure to include a link to your blog in your profile and include a call-to-action (this just means you tell them to do something like “follow” or “sign up now”, etc) in your posts.

Once you have your accounts set up, you can start sharing content from your blog. Share links to your blog posts on your social media accounts and encourage your followers to share them with their own networks. You can also use social media to engage with your readers. Ask questions, respond to comments, provide tips.

Another way to leverage social media to promote your blog is to use hashtags. Hashtags are a great way to reach a wider audience and get your content seen by more people. Use relevant hashtags when you post about your blog to increase your reach. But I always recommend aim for the 10k or smaller hashtags it’s easier to show up on those vs the 1.3 million level hashtags.

Finally, you can use social media to build relationships with other bloggers and influencers in your niche.

Monetizing your blog (making money) is a great way to generate an income while still having the flexibility to manage your family’s needs. It is a great way to make money while still being able to spend time with your family.

The first step to monetizing your blog is to create a blog that is interesting and engaging. You want to make sure that your blog has a specific focus and that it is easy to navigate. You should also make sure that your blog is regularly updated with fresh content. This will help to keep your people engaged and will also help to attract new people.

Once you have your blog set up, you can start to monetize it. There are a few different ways to do this. One of the most popular methods is to use affiliate marketing. This is where you promote products or services from other companies and receive a commission for each sale that you make. You can also use Google AdSense to display ads on your blog and earn money from the clicks that people make on those ads (but I wouldn’t rely on just ads).

Another way to monetize your blog is to offer services or products(highly recommended).
